It's an interesting time of year here at work. Rachel is in the midst of kettles (yes kettles have officially begun, or at least the planning has), while I am working on other endeavors. Kettle season makes for a insanely busy time. Before we know it, it will be the new year!

Some the horizon are:

  • A Halloween theme Youth Fun Night which will hopefully have a lot more offerings for the kids as well as attract more kids from the neighborhood.

  • Harvest Festival/Chili Cook-Off/Family Fun Night which provides another opportunity to invite our neighbors in for chili, music, games, and more.

  • The creation of a neighborhood newsletter to better promote our offerings here at The Sal.
We have a lot more in the planning/idea phase but it would not be a smart idea to launch new programs or opportunities for service in the midst of Christmas/Kettle season.
