It's been an interesting few weeks. My overall stress level has gone down now that Family Fest has come and gone. I think Rachel and I have been under immense pressure because all parts of our life are intersecting and impacting each other more than normal. Work doesn't stay at work. It is in our neighborhood, our home, our church, and our casual conversations. Last Friday, we decided to go out on a date and not talk about work. We got all that talk over with before we left for our date. When we got to the restaraunt, there was little conversation, but it was nice just to sit, relax, and decompress. I wonder if this is a common issue with people who work in ministry, especially in The Salvation Army, where there is a strong emphasis on "faith in action". There is no separation, and you really have to make a good effort to rest, relax, and recharge.
